Project Fair

The subject can be anything from bubble gum to zebras, in any age-appropriate subject from science to history to art... virtually anything! In participating, your child will benefit by being able to share their interest with a large audience, develop research skills, learn communication skills as they interact with visitors at their display, practice creativity, and discover others who share their area of interest.

Making Your Project a Winner

Although every homeschooler’s project is a winner in our opinion, there are ways to give yours a competitive edge.

  • Choose a color theme to reduce visual chaos.
  • Present a large visual background, such as a tri-fold display board.
  • Show a variety of crafts, artifacts, and other items that can be handled by your visitors.
  • Include an “Ask Me” page to give visitors “safe” questions and easy conversation starters.
  • Label each item well, with bold, legible letters.
